You are interested in becoming an outstanding communicator within the field of engineering
This program must be completed on campus and is offered in accordance with the for-credit course that comprises the micro-credential. Please refer to the Course Catalog for the most recent information regarding course sections and schedules.
Mandatory Course:
ENR 110 (Offered every Fall)
Next Session: August 26, 2024 - December 14, 2024
All learners who complete the required outputs will earn a Level II Badge.
Complete ENR 110: The World of an Engineer (3 Credits). This course introduces you to the study and practice of engineering, including overviews of specific disciplines. Participatory focus involves group design projects, hands-on learning, computer work, team building and engineering ethics discussions. In an inquiry-based learning framework, you are introduced to the Grand Challenges for Engineering as defined by the National Academy of Engineering to consider global issues from a multidisciplinary perspective.
Submit a writing sample of your choice from ENR 110 to an e-portfolio and respond to the reflection prompt related to professional identity and how your writing sample demonstrates your professional identity.
Use feedback to submit a new writing sample from either an additional ENR course or a professional experience to an e-portfolio. You will also complete another reflection.
