Shanda Hinton is the Vice President of Culture & Organizational Health at RTX, one of the world’s largest aerospace and defense companies, with over 185,000 employees and $68 billion in annual sales. RTX comprises three industry-leading businesses—Collins Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Raytheon—that operate as one to push the boundaries of technology and science, redefining how we connect and protect the world. In this role, Hinton partners closely with the RTX executive team to drive cultural evolution and business transformation. She leads the design and implementation of enterprise-wide organizational effectiveness and change management strategies, while also building capability across HR functions focused on culture, organizational health, and transformation enablement—amplifying impact at scale.
Previously, Hinton served as Chief Diversity Officer at RTX, where she led efforts to accelerate talent attraction, development, and engagement strategies. Her work supported the advancement of an inclusive, high-performing workforce aligned with RTX’s long-term business goals.
Hinton is an accomplished executive and brings 25 years of broad expertise in strategy, operations, and talent management. Prior to RTX, Hinton was a Client Advisor with Korn Ferry, a global consulting firm and has related experience at Comcast NBCUniversal, where she led Talent Management for their largest cable division. Hinton started her human resources career at CIGNA where she had progressive positions in learning and development, talent acquisition, and talent management.
Hinton earned a master’s degree in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Bachelor of Science in Business and Communications from Eastern Connecticut State University. Hinton serves on the board of The Storehouse Project, Inc. and is a member of The Executive Leadership Council (ELC).
