Adam Jeamel is the Senior Vice President and Chief Corporate Communications Officer at Liberty Bank in Middletown, Connecticut. Before joining Liberty Bank, Adam held various positions. With 30 years of experience in public and community relations in the public and private sectors, he spent 15 years in state government and politics, including the Director of Public Affairs for Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell. The remaining 15 were spent in Healthcare and in Banking where he held a dual position with the former United Bank as Eastern Connecticut Regional President as their ‘geographic ambassador’ in the region, and Head of Corporate Communications.
In his current role, Adam remains committed to ensuring that his teammates have a voice in the workplace. He frequently monitors bank-wide teammate communications to determine viable solutions to help them feel more engaged. He also maintains strong relationships with national, state, and local media covering various industries, particularly business beat reporters.
Passionate about giving back to communities, Adam incorporates this into his work by developing strategic corporate sponsorships, raising awareness of the Liberty Bank team while more importantly supporting organizations that are making a lasting impact in Liberty Bank communities.
In his leisure time, Adam continues to be personally involved in his community. He currently serves on the World Affairs Council and the golf committee for Mercy High School. He served as a Trustee and Treasurer of Goodwin University’s Board of Trustees and the University’s Economic and Strategic Development Committee. He is also a former Board Member for the Connecticut Sports Management Group, Inc. (Nutmeg State Games), former Board Member for Hartford Habitat for Humanity, former Rockville Rotarian, and past Commissioner of the Hartford Business Improvement District.
Adam earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Connecticut in 1994 and currently resides in Wethersfield, Connecticut with his wife and their two children.
