Program Overview

The two-week New England Biolabs® Molecular Biology Summer Workshop is an intensive, immersive professional development program that introduces learners to high-level concepts within the field. No previous experience in molecular biology is required or expected, and participants will be selected from a variety of disciplines and academic backgrounds to maximize collaboration and expand your professional network.

You should attend this summer molecular biology workshop if:

  • You are interested in gaining hands on experience in fundamental and advanced molecular biology methods, including CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing and next-generation sequencing library preparation, to facilitate your own molecular research (see full list of topics below).

  • You want to gain an understanding of molecular biology theory.

  • You want to expand your skillset and build your CV to increase your professional marketability.

  • You are interested in building your professional network through interactions with medical doctors, veterinarians, PhD scientists, engineers, attorneys and more.

  • You are committed to participating in a summer program for professional development within the field of molecular biology.
